Yadavas (?) interregnum in Goa, Ramchandra Deva, Gold Gadyana, 4.39g, Obv: Roaring Lion, facing left, Devnagari legend “Manmatha” (the cyclic year) to left, Rev: Devnagari legend “(Shri Sapta) / kotishwara Cha…/ nalabdha Shri Ra…/ chandra Deva” in four lines (Not listed in Mitch or K Ganesh). Very fine, very rare.
Cyclic year 'Manmatha' corresponds to 1235 AD. These coins were issued during Yadava occupation of Goa, in which Ramachandra (possibly the same as Ramachandra the Yadava king) appears to have been a viceroy.
