Post Gupta Bengal, Gauda, Sasanka Deva, Gold Dinar, 5.85g, Obv: Lord Siva reclining on a couchant Bull, Brahmi legend “Sri Ja” under the Bull, there is a large dot apparently representing a Moon on the left of Lord Siva’s face, all within a circle of large dotted border, Rev: Goddess Lakshmi seated on a Lotus, holding Lotus bud in her left hand & conch shell in her right hand. Brahmi legend “Sri- Sasanka” on the left field (ECB# SAM10.1). Extremely fine, exceedingly rare.
