Both sides within a circle of large dotted border (ECB# SAM6.1). Very fine, rare.
Gopa can be identified with the ruler named ‘Gopacandra’, a post-gupta ruler of ancient Vanga whose identity has has been established by at least three copper plate inscriptions. One of the copper plate inscription mentioned the price of land in Dinaras (Gold coin) which indicates that gold coins were circulating in his kingdom.
