Extremely fine+, exceedingly rare. Tipu Sultan struck Gold coins of the standard weight of the Indian Mohur during the first four years of his reign, bearing the date in the Islamic as well his own calendar. During his fifth regnal year, the Mohur was replaced by a 25% heavier gold coin which was identical to the weight of four pagodas. These standard Mohurs are rarer than 4 Pagoda’s.
