Ganpat Rao Gaekwad, Gold 1/4 Mohur, 2.53g, second series, in the name of Muhammad Akbar II, with the scimitar pointing horizontally towards the left.
The ‘quarter mohurs’ of Baroda were most likely produced principally for jewellery or other decorative purposes. The weight varies from about 1.90g to 3.00g, with the mount, but they can be called quarter mohurs, though they were almost certainly never intended to circulate at a fixed value.
