Priti Devi hails from the royal family of Tripura and is the daughter of Maharaja Vir Vikram Kishore Manikya. She was married to Maharajkumar Prithvirajji of Kutch in 1957. He succeeded his father, Madan Singhji, the last Jadeja ruler of Kutch, in 1991 to the titular Maharaoship as Pragmalji III. The 75th birthday of the maharani was celebrated with donations of over 20 lakhs rupees for charity in 2013.
