Aparaditya’s silver coins are extremely rare - this is probably the third specimen known. Aparaditya or Apararka was an illustrious ruler of the Thane branch of the Shilaharas, well-versed in Dharma shastras. He is credited with writing a critique (Teekā) on the Yajñavalkya Smruti, known as Apararka-teeka.
