Kushan, Huvishka, Gold Dinar, 7.77g, “Oanindo” type, Obv: Nimbate, diademed, and crowned half-length bust of king facing left, emerges from mountain top, flames emanate from both shoulders, wears diadem with tie and ribbons to right, open kaftan with rolled lapels and clasps on both sides, worn over tunic with segmented collar and central panel ornamented with helix pattern, Bactrian legend “PAONANOPAO OO-HPKE KOPANO” around, Rev: Greek Goddess “Oanindo” winged in three quarter profile faces left, wears a helmet classical Greek dress, bracelets and armlets, holds jeweled diadem with two ribbons in extended right hand, palm branches resting over shoulder with left hand on hip, tamga to right, dotted border, Bactrian legend “OANIN ΔO” to left (Göbl# 242.1). Removed from jewellery. Exceedingly rare. Ex Syed Rabbi Collection. Oanindo's dinars normally have her name along the rim, either to the right or left, or alongside her body (as on this piece). Only 4 examples cited on CoinArchives, none with her name located as on this piece.
