Sasanian Empire, Yazdgard III, Silver Hemidrachm, 2.12g, Mint BN (probably Bamm), Obv: Draped bust of Yazdgard III to right, wearing an elaborate mural crown, behind head, “GDE / ʾp̄zwt” ('[may his] glory increase' in Pahlavi), before head, “yẕdklt' = 'Yazdgird” ('Yazdgard' in Pahlavi), Rev: Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants; above altar, star and crescent; to right, BN (abbreviation for the name of the mint in Pahlavi) (Göbl type II/2). Very fine, rare.
