Obv: King with halo standing to left, body is declined towards back, bare headed and bare bodied, wearing a dhoti above knees with sash round his waist and falling down, earnings, necklace, wristlet etc. offering to the peacock, facing him, a twig of grapes held in his right hand and his left hand hangs on the hip. Legend starting from 1 O’clock is Jayati svagunair to 5 O’clock and kumara at 10 to 11 O’clock. Rev: God Kartikeya with halo three fourths to left seated on peacock perched upon a platform, bare headed and bare bodied, wearing a dhoti, earnings, necklace, wristlet etc. Right hand is opened leans towards earth in scattering position, holding a spear (shakti) in left hand resting on the hip. This Type of Kumar Gupta innovation of the Emperor was intended to pay homage to the Lord Kartikey(god of war). Only 13 coins were found in the Bayana hoard of this type.
