Tanjore Maratha, Copper 2 Cash, 4.13g, Obv: Seated Nandi to right, Rev: Devnagari legend in a grid-pattern around the Shivalinga symbol. Very fine, very rare. The legend cannot be satisfactorily read but similar coin with the Nandi and the Lingha both in centre with Devnagari legend arranged around the motifs are attributed to the Maraths of Tanjore. This is likely to be an unpublished variety within the same series.
