Azamnagar Shah Peth, Silver Rupee, 11.14g, ‘Azamnagar’ type, in the name of Muhammad Shah, RY 6 (fixed). Extremely fine, very rare. The mint-name on this variety has been read as ‘’Azamnagar Shah Peth’ but no such town exists within the ambit of the ‘Azamnagar’ type rupees. It is possible that the mint name reads ‘Sanah Shahnoor’ and thus could well be an issue of Sawnoor. It is nevertheless an interesting variation not met with frequently.
