Murad Bakhsh Silver Rupee 11.53g Khambayat Mint Ilahi Month Azar RY Ahad Central inscription within square knots at corners on both sides. Extremely fine extremely rare. This rupee is of a very rare variety of Murad Bakhsh’s coinage, known so far in Khambayat and Ahmedabad mints only, where the name of the ruler in square omits ‘Muhammad’. The legend thus reads only ‘Murad Bakhsh Badshah Ghazi’. On this coin, a new variation is noted – it has in the left margin besides the name the mention of Ilahi month Azar and the RY Ahd in the same line. The mint-name is inscribed in the top margin and the qunyat, laqab and ism appear in right and bottom margins respectively.
