William IV, Proof Restrike, Gold, Mohur, “F incused”, 1835, Obv: Bust facing to right, F incuse on truncation of neck, English legend & date “WILLIAM IIII, KING. 1835”, Rev: A lion facing to left in front of a Palm tree, English legend “EAST INDIA COMPANY, ONE MOHUR” & In Persian “EK ASHARFI” (Prid# 12). Slab & Graded by NGC as PF61. Exceedingly rare. Initial F. is for William Nairn Forbes the Mint Master of the Calcutta Mint from January 1836 to May 1855.
