Muhammad Akbar II, Copper Paisa, 10.50g, Rikabganj Mint. Patinated, very fine, rare. 'Rikabganj' is presently a part of New Delhi, but in early 19th century coins bearing this mint-name were struck privately by money professionals and supplied to Berar region in the Deccan where they circulated as 'Kachcha Paisas'. Early issues, like this coin, have perfect calligraphy but later ones are crude and sometimes have a symbol of sword added to the reverse.
