Tanjore Maratha, Lead Cash, 4.50g, Obv: Mudra, Rev: Maharaja, both sides legend inscribed retrograde. Extremely fine, extremely rare. Lead Cash coins of Thanjavur are rare and were not listed by Maheshwari and Wiggins. They follow the same design as of the copper Cash coins. They were probably struck following similar Dutch coins issued from the nearby Nagapattanam.
