Murshidabad, Gold Mohur, 12.30g, “Halsewell Shipwreck”, Pseudo Mint name Murshidabad but struck at Calcutta, AH 1189/ RY 12, in the name of Shah Alam II (KM# 94.1). Deep test mark on obverse, very fine, extremely rare. This coin recovers from Ship East Indiaman Halsewell, this ship shunk on the Dorset Coast- UK in 1786. With other treasure, coins were found Silver Rupee of Muhammadabad Banaras Mint & Gold Mohur of Murshidabad Mint, offered here. A full certificate of Authenticity signed by recovering diver & on behalf of the salvor.
