Very Important Collection of Rashtrakuta Coins The coins offered here have been recently known from a single site in Central Maharashtra. They are all struck from uniquely alloyed copper and typologically linked by the obverse device of a 'Garuda'. They bear truncated legends which in some instances are readable. On the basis of these legends, the similarity of fabric and the employment of Garuda as a dynastic emblem, they are attributed to the Rashtrakutas.
