Muhammad Adil Shah, Copper 2/3rd Fulus, 7.40g (G&G# BJ35). Very fine, rare.The obverse and reverse of this coin comprise a new couplet which is not fully read. G&G have suggested the obverse reads Jahan Z’ayn Do Muhammad Giraft Zeenat-o-Jah the same hemistich as the well-known coin couplet of Muhammad Adil Shah, however that does not appear to be the case. On this coin, the words Adalat and Muhammad are clear. So it is likely that the couplet incorporates a pun on the dynastic name ‘Muhammad Adil Shah’ and the heavenly justice of Muhammad the prophet.
