Ahmad Shah, Gold 1/4 Mohur, 2.77g, Murshidabad Mint, RY 6 (Unlisted in Major Catalogue). Extremely fine+, exceedingly rare. Struck by Nawabs of Bengal the attribution to Ahmad Shah is on the basis that the overall style of the coin is too different for the RY to be of Muhammad Shah, and in later rulers, there is a ‘sun’ symbol on coins of Alamgir II which is missing here. That leaves only Ahmad Shah out.
