Ahmad Shah, Silver Rupee, 11.57g, “Fazl-i Alam Panah” couplet, Ausa Mint, AH 1162/ RY 1, interesting Mint mark on reverse. Extremely fine, very rare.
Struck by Nizams of Hyderabad during period of dynastic conflict after the death of Asaf Jah I (1749). A Rupee of Ausa Mint in the name of Ahmad Shah was published by Husain Makda in JONS. This is the second coin with the ruler/mint combination to turn up and it is in a much better condition that the specimen published.
