Guptas, Samudra Gupta, Gold Dinar, 7.70g, “Ashvamedha” type, Obv: Sacrificial horse facing left facing the Yupa, decorated with ribbons and banners fluttering above with letter “Si”' in Brahmi between the legs denoting Sidhham, the circular Brahmi legend “Rājādhirājaḥ pṛithivīṁ vijitya divaṁ jayatyāhṛitavājimedhaḥ”, Rev: Goddess Rajyalaxmi standing facing left with her right hand holds a Chauri- flywhisk, left hand hangs down and is empty. In front of Goddess spear like object with ribbons, Brahmi legend “Aśvamedháparākra(mah)” (S Kumar# Class I, Variety B.1). Deep bold strike with almost complete legend. Extremely fine, exceeding rare in this grade.
