Satavahanas, Northern Maharashtra, Siri Satakani (c.100-50BC), Copper, 6.51g, “Arched hill” type, Obv: Three-arched hill surmounted by crescent, small taurine to right, Brahmi legend “…(Sata)kanisa” inscribed vertically to left, Rev: Tree in a railing (executed in 3-D perspective), river with fishes below. Very fine, extremely rare. This is an entirely new type recorded for Siri Satakani. The style suggests similarities with issues from the Lower Tapi region, exemplified by coins found at Prakasha.
