Satavahanas, Vidarbha region, Siri Satakani, issued in the dynastic name ‘Satavahana’ (c.100-50BC), Alloyed Copper, 4.40g, bold “Shrivatsa” type, Obv: Bold Shrivatsa, traces of modified Ujjain symbol to its left, Brahmi legend “Raño Siri Sataka…” inscribed vertically to right, Rev: Tree with characteristic bifurcated leaves in a railing, small symbols to left and right, double wavy line below. Very fine+, extremely rare. The obverse shows traces of an undertype, which suggest that the coin is double-struck on obverse and reverse.
