Satavahanas, Vidarbha region, Siri Satakani (c.100-50BC), Alloyed Copper, 6.94g, “Elephant” type, Obv: Brahmi legend “Raño Siri Satakanisa” in the middle, below, Elephant with trunk raised walking to right and above, a six-armed symbol and an Ujjain symbol, Rev: A tree with characteristic bifurcated leaves in a railing to its right, partly obliterating traces of a six-armed symbol and an Ujjain symbol, suggesting the coin is most likely double struck on obverse and reverse. Extremely fine, extremely rare.
