Shantaras, Anonymous, Gold Gadyana, 3.86g, Obv: Elephant facing right, Rev: Goddess Padmavathi, seated facing front, Poorna Kumbha on two sides. Unpublished, extremely rare. Shantaras ruled from Humcha, the capital, now in Hosanagara taluk of Shimoga district. Their only known copper plate has an elephant seal. The Goddess Padmavathi is the protective Goddess of Parshvanatha, the 23rd Thirthankara.
