Mlechchha Dynasty of Salastambha, Vanamalavarman, Copper, 10.30g, Uniface, Early Devnagari letter “Va” in center on obverse. Extremely fine for type, rare. Mlechchha Dynasty of Salastambha ruled Kamarupa during the whole of the 9th Century. Scholars like B.B. Hazarika and P. C. Choudhury expressed the opinion that these coins were strucked by Mlechchha Dynasty.
