Early Medieval Gujarat, Unattributed Copper, 0.63, Obv: A Fish within a circle, partly visible, Rev: Brahmi legend “Shri Wyaghra (?)” under a crescent. Very fine, very rare. The reverse legend has tentatively been read as 'Wyaghra', which could be the name of a ruler from the many small dynasties that ruled in medieval Gujarat. The design of the coin is similar to issues of the Chalukyas of South Gujarat region suggesting it to be an issue from the 'Lata' region and therefore probably attributed to the Gurjaras of Bharuch.
