Paramaras of Vidarbha- Feudatories under the Yadavas, Jagadeva, Silver Dramma, 1.93g, Obv: Stylized lion facing right, Rev: Devnagari legend “Shri Ja… / Deva” in two lines (Unlisted in major publications). Very fine, extremely rare. Jagadeva was the younger son of the Paramara ruler Bhoja of Dhara. He sought military fortunes with the Yadavas after he left his father’s kingdom. He is more well-known from the gold punch-marked gadyanas he issued in the typical Deccan fabric – but very rare silver issues, like this one, struck in the Yadava style, are also known.
