Copper 5 Cash, 6.10g, Selam (Salem) Mint, AH 1213, Obv: A flower surrounded by a circle, Value in Tamil legend “Anacu Kasu (5 Cash)” with group of 4 dots around, Rev: Persian legend “Zarb Selam”, AH 1213 (P Steven# 5.102). Extremely fine+, exceedingly rare, very few known. Great rarity. An extremely rare copper issue of a short-lived mint operated at Selam by the East India company soon after the final Anglo-Mysore war in 1799.
