Kalachuris of Kalyani, Sovideva Bhujabalamalla, Gold Gadyana, 3.46g, Obv: Armoured Garuda running to right in Chapetadana pose; weapon on the left field and lamp on the right, Rev: Kannada legend “Shri Bhu ja / bala ma(lla) / Ra ya De (va)” in three lines (K Ganesh ‘Karnataka’ 5.55, plate specimen). Very fine, extremely rare. Ganesh attributes the coin to the Kalachuris but does not read the reverse legend.
