Uncirculated, exceedingly rare and unique. The title ‘Nanniya Ganga’ is mentioned in the inscription at Tattekere Basadi of the reign of Rachamalla III. However, K Ganesh has attributed the coin to Butuga II, another Ganga ruler. Inscribed Ganga coins of the so-called ‘Gajapati’ type are extremely rare. The word Nanni means truth and the word truth is associated also in the name of the Ganga ruler, Satyavakya.
